He uri au o Marutūāhu, Te Arawa, Ngāti Raukawa ki Waikato, me Ngāti Kahungunu hoki.

I am a wāhine Māori who has been involved in bands and community politics in Aotearoa for over 20 years, thru some ridiculously good times as well as some utter bullshit.  Through it all, the need to create music and write has been constant. As a community, it’s important to share ideas and challenge ourselves to make our punk scenes better. Music and writing is my way of contributing to this kaupapa.

Based in Te Horo, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Pantaloon Party reps punk music of varying flavours, and aims to elevate indigenous and political issues. It’s a way to share knowledge with those who care to know and learn with me. Pantaloon Party looks to strike the right balance between enjoying creativity and sharing important, and meaningful mātauranga (knowledge).

This site will be dedicated to writing and sharing recommendations moving forward.
